CD and DVD disc replication involves the following processes :

• Premastering Production and/or authoring which creates the data which is to be contained on the replicas to be

produced.

	• Mastering which is needed to create stampers which are used to mould the individual discs.
	• Replication individual discs by moulding using stampers followed by metallising and lacquering (for CDs) or
	bonding (for DVDs).
	• Printing of disc labels on each disc. Different sizes of CDs have different print specifications.
	• Packaging of discs in suitable cases, usually different for CD and DVD.
	• Quality assurance to ensure discs meeting the necessary specifications.

	SC International Media Corporation offers the following CD and CD-ROM replication services globally.

	CD AUDIO
	CD Audio services include the following:

CD audio premastering

• Audio editing and compilation.

• PQ encoding of U-matic tapes, CD-Rs and Exabyte.

• Audio transfer from DAT, U-matic etc to Exabyte or CD-R

• Sample rate conversion (eg from 48kHz to 44.2kHz)

• Enhanced CD premastering from audio and data source

CD Audio mastering and replication of the following formats:

• CD audio up to 78 minutes

• CD-Graphics and CD TEXT

• Enhanced CD with optional CD-ROM content including video etc

• CD audio with copy protection

CD_ROM

CD-ROM services include the following:

CD-ROm premastering

• Formating to ISO 9660/Joliet, Mac HFS and hybrid.

• Enhanced CD premastering, combining audio and data sessions.

• Virus checking of input media and checking of CD-Roms.

• Full verification of pressed CD-ROMs against source data.
